With events for the whole family to enjoy, the MSU Science Festival explores topics ranging from the ordinary to the extraordinary. From astronomy to music, and chemistry to microbiology; scientists and educators across the state are eager to share the wonder of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.
What the Event Page Says: This is a FREE family friendly event that is focused on STEM and done in coordination with National Chemistry Week. The event will consist of science hands-on activities and demonstrations will and will be hosted at Impression5 Science Center in Lansing. All regular exhibits at Impression5 will also be open during the event. This is sponsored by the Michigan State local section of the American Chemical Society, Impression5 Science Center and Michigan Educational Trust.
What the Event Page Says: Come hang out with us once a month at local bars in Lansing, MI. Our events include two short presentations by both local and out-of-town astronomers and astrophysicists, opportunities to mingle with local scientists, a Q&A session to ask all of your burning astronomy questions, and trivia-based games that can win you a raffle prize! We’ve also collaborated with local breweries to brew exclusive AoTLansing beers.

What the Event Page Says: The Spartan Young Astronomer Club (SYAC) is for kids ages 8-12 who are curious and love learning about astronomy! These budding young astronomers will explore the wonders of the universe. Each month, SYAC members will have opportunities to explore a theme in astronomy through demonstrations, planetarium presentations, and hands-on activities. Please note that it is required an adult accompanies the children.
