What the Park Says: Hawk Island County Park is a 100 acre park, located on Cavanaugh Road, between Pennsylvania Avenue and Aurelius Road, in south Lansing is the newest park in our system. Long-time residents will remember the Sablain Gravel Pit location, which has been transformed into a beautiful park featuring natural planting areas.
What the Park Says: Fitzgerald Park is a spectacular 78-acre, all-seasons park. The eastern boundary of the park provides tremendous views of the Grand River, fish ladder, and dam. No visit to the park is complete without viewing the famous sandstone ledges, and ancient sedimentary rock outcroppings that line the banks of the Grand River.
What the Park Says: Patriarche Park offers a new, 1.2-acre playground features a modern, eco-friendly design that is fully accessible and supports youth fitness. The playgrounds includes a wide variety of colorful play equipment, a poured-in-place playground surface, a rain garden, a brick entry plaza, walkways and much more. The park also features softball, tennis, basketball, baseball, volleyball, benches, picnic tables, grills, restrooms, and a covered pavilion.
What the Park Says: We offer numerous outreach and on-site Environmental Education programs for children as well as adults. Over 5 miles of trails await you on over 180 acres of woodland, prairie, river-side and pine forest. Hike or ski anytime between dawn and dusk.
What the Park Says: Delta Mills Park was the Township’s first park facility. Phase I was started on 14.3 acres of property purchased for future expansion of the Waste Water Treatment Plant. Recreation Bond Funds have been utilized along with donations and general fund monies to acquire additional property. Presently 32.2 acres are available for usage.
